Am I the only one having problems with seducing mobs? My succy cant seem to hold seduce for a longer period of time and sometimes it doesnt seduce at all. Does anyone know why? Am I doing something wrong? I'm open to suggestion.

If you don't have points in Improved Succubus, that might have something to do with the shorter seduces.
As for getting seduce to land, I'm not sure. I know that I never used auto-cast on seduce when I played a warlock, but that was just personal preference.

thanks for the feed back... and sorry for being so noob but how can i make seduce as an auto cast? I'm not really fond of using my succy so I'm not sure how it works. Dont the succy at least be able to seduce even with out points in Improve Succubus? I noticed that when I was using my succy during a couple of runs I hardly see my succy doing the seduce. Is it getting resisted or something?

It can get resisted. You have to pay attention to what it's doing, or else things can get really ugly.
The only real improvement you'll see with points in the talent will be longer seduces.
To be honest, I never knew until the other day that you could put seduce on auto-cast. I'll mess with it on Halitosis this afternoon if I can remember.

Once again thanks. Anyhow, I was trying to figure out how I can do the auto cast but it seems that I couldnt. If you do figure it out if succy can do auto cast or not let me know. Thanks a bunch Simo.

I would imagine, assuming her bars work the same way as other pet bars, that you turn on auto-seduce by right clicking on the seduce button. This should make a sparkly moving border around it, which means it will auto-cast when needed. I imagine you still have to tell her to start casting it, but she will probably re-seduce automatically. Also, as far as seduce breaking early, are you telling her to do another action? I am pretty sure seduce is a channeled ability, so she needs to do nothing but that.
Hope some of that was helpful.

The auto cast option on seduce did not seem to be very reliable so I always kept an eye out for the mob while keeping dots up. Perhaps that is because it does it get resisted. Typically, the seduce target is going to be one of the first mobs taken out because it is so unpredictable. I can say that managing mage sheep is so much easier than seduce.
Generally speaking, the most common crowd control used seem to be more reliable in this order:
Mage Sheep - no debate this is best overall Rogue Sap - only way to CC without disturbing mobs but will not be reapplied Hunter Freeze Trap - I think it is better than sap with a hunter that is good at reapplying it. Warlock Seduce
Druids and Priests also have some crowd control. Banish is almost a must have for some encounters as we saw last night. Mind Control used to be very ineffective but I have seen it work well since Burning Crusade came out.

Yeah, I always hated keeping track of Seduce on a Warlock. You really have to be good at multi-tasking more with it than with most of the other CC options that other classes have.

I know this post is old but I was just browsing warlock forums and figured I'd add my two cents for up and coming locks.. Seduce is based on the targets shadow resist, so it helps to throw CoS up to make seduce land and last longer. Some people think that spell hit also helps like on other cc's (mages and priests) but from what I read because it's a pet it is not affected by our spell hit/penetration.

Ask Chan how I feel about relying on seduce as CC in an instance. There's a macro you can use to really streamline the process though. I'm at work so I can't dig it up right now, but it helps if you are in a situation where you have to use it.
